OpenSees Parallel Workshop 09 - May 22, 2009

The OpenSees team will be hosting a parallel computing workshop May 22, 2009. The intent of the workshop is to instruct users on how to use OpenSees to perform large-scale numerical simulations on parallel computers. The simulations include large models, such as large soil domains and/or structural systems, as well as statistical simulations, such as parameter studies and Monte-Carlo simulations.

OpenSees has the capabilities to perform these analyses in a fast and seamless manner either on your own multi-core computer, your in-house cluster, or on the NSF-sponsored Teragrid parallel-computer resources. At the workshop we will show you how you can cut hours, days and even months off your simulation time.

Attendance is free, but space is limited. Early registration is encouraged.
