Purpose of the meeting
As part of the 22nd International Conference on Structural Mechanics in Reactor Technology (SMiRT-22), held in San Francisco on August 18-23, 2013, a Special Session on New Developments for Ground Motion Prediction for Stable Continental Regions was held on Friday, August 23, 2013 highlighting PEER’s NGA-East Program. This one-day special session focused on the recent developments for ground motions in stable continental regions that draw on global seismic data for better and more up-to-date characterization of ground motion.
