Task 5: Build a Database of Recorded Waveform

There will be three databases of recorded waveforms for different tectonic environments:

1. A very comprehensive database for shallow crustal earthquakes in active tectonic regions has already been developed by PEER. It will be significantly improved and expanded during the project; however no new metadata will be added nor recording will be reprocessed.  View the database.
2. A database of waveforms for stable continental regions (SCR) developed within the scope of the NGA-East program, and will be made available to GEM.
3. A waveforms database for subduction regions will be provided as in-kind contribution to GEM.
