Task 4: Include Near-Fault Effects

• Task 5: Build a Database of Recorded Waveform
• Task 6: Design the Specifications to Compile a Global Database of Soil Classification

A working group will provide recommendations regarding correction of GMPEs for near-fault effects, including directivity and directionality. The working group for this task will examine various existing adjustments of GMPEs to include Near-Fault Effects. The tentative recommendations will be presented to the larger research team and others to collect feedback and comments, prior to finalizing their recommendations.
