Regional Earthquake Program Manager, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Oakland, CA

Applications are invited for the position of Regional Earthquake Program Manager in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Oakland, California office.

The application period will close on November 25th or when 200 applications are received.

Typical assignments include:

• Serving as a technical specialist in performing highly complex data analysis, including utilization of highly specialized instrumentation systems, equipment, computer programs, and statistical analysis techniques.

• Ensuring information is exchanged among FEMA programs and in recommending solutions. Serving as project manager for centrally managed activities, performing the full range of program/ project management functions for physical science programs/ projects.

• Serving as an official liaison and collaborates with engineers/ scientists in the public and private sector on a wide range of seismic hazards regulatory issues.Serving on high-level task forces and study groups changed with considering directions in earthquake science, building science, or issues related to HAZUS.
