OpenSees Days 2014 Registration Open

PEER and NEES will host OpenSees Days 2014 on September 25-26, 2014 at the Richmond Field Station, an off-campus facility of the University of California, Berkeley. Students, researchers, and practitioners are welcome to attend either or both of the days.

Thursday, September 25: Getting Started With OpenSees
The annual one-day training workshop on how to use OpenSees will be more hands-on this year. This workshop is intended for beginning users, and will introduce users to the tcl scripting language and basic modeling and analysis techniques using OpenSees. Users will be shown the computational resources available through NEEShub and will use NEEShub to run some examples.

Friday, September 26: OpenSees: Beyond the Basics
The second day will feature presentations by researchers on how to model using OpenSees, including Geotechnical and Soil-Structure Interaction, Beam Column options, and Base Isolated and Viscous Damped Buildings.

The event is free, but registration and a twenty-dollar refundable deposit is required. Space is limited to the first 100 applicants. Registration closes on September 24, 2014.

Registration and additional program information can be found the OpenSees Days 2014 event page.
