Caltrans Director Speaks on the Future of Transportation in California on April 15

Malcolm Dougherty, Director of the California Department of Transportation, will speak on the current state of transportation in California. He will discuss Caltrans’ forward vision of our shared transportation future, current challenges, breakthroughs which may be just over the horizon, and where it all may lead. His talk will be followed by a brief, moderated question-and-answer period.

When: Tuesday, April 15, 2014, 2:00 – 3:00 pm

Where: Banatao Auditorium, Sutardja Dai Hall, University of California, Berkeley

UC Berkeley faculty, staff, students, alumni, and researchers are welcome to attend. There will be no charge, but pre-registration is required.

Malcolm Dougherty was appointed to be the Director of the Caltrans by Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. in May 2012. Dougherty leads the nearly $13 billion organization and the department’s 20,000 employees who build, maintain, and operate the 50,000 lane miles of California’s world-class transportation system.
