Call for Papers: 2012 CUEE Conference
On March 6 – 8, 2012 the Center for Urban Earthquake Engineering (CUEE) at Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan) will be hosting two combined international conferences on earthquake engineering: the 9th International Conference on Urban Earthquake Engineering (9th CUEE) and the 4th Asia Conference on Earthquake Engineering (4th ACEE).
Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts of no more than 200 words to the conference website. Abstracts are due by November 15, 2011.

Student Travel Grants to attend 2012 CUEE Conference in Tokyo Japan
To facilitate the participation of young researchers worldwide, funding is available from CUEE for Travel Awards for up to 20 young researchers. Any PhD student from PEER’s Core Institutions or student working on a PEER-funded project is eligible to apply.

Call for Papers: JAEE Conference
Japan Association for Earthquake Engineering, Architectural Institute of Japan, Japan Society of Civil Engineers, Japanese Geotechnical Society, Japan Society for Mechanical Engineers, and Seismological Society of Japan are organizing a conference called: “One Year after 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake – International Symposium on Engineering Lessons Learned from the Giant Earthquake“ that will be held on March 3-4, 2012 in Tokyo, Japan.
This conference is currently accepting abstracts on the topics listed in a wide variety of topic areas as listed on the first announcement flier.
Deadline for submission of abstracts is November 15, 2011. To submit your abstract, send a one page abstract and a cover sheet in PDF format to the following e-mail address: eqsymp@event.jaee.gr.jp
