Hosted by the Portuguese Society for Earthquake Engineering under the auspices of the International Association for Earthquake Engineering, the conference will cover a broad spectrum of topics, namely engineering seismology, tsunamis, geotechnical earthquake engineering, design of new structures, assessment and retrofit of existing structures, infrastructure and lifeline systems, social and economic aspects, preparedness and emergency management of large earthquakes, and urban risk assessment.
