Video now available from the PEER & SEAONC Seminar: Performance-Based Earthquake Engineering and its applications to Tall Building Design

On two evenings in April 2011, over 100 engineers gathered in San Francisco to attend a PEER, SEAONC and the City of San Francisco hosted seminar that discussed performance-based earthquake engineering as it relates to the “Guidelines for Performance-Based Seismic Design of Tall Buildings” that were released by PEER’s Tall Building Initiative program. PEER is pleased to announce that these presentations are now available for free viewing on PEER’s YouTube Channel.

Thirteen videos show presentations by each speaker. The first night of the seminar gave an overview of performance-based earthquake engineering and the recommendations from the Guidelines. The second night provided an example application of the Guidelines on a couple of building case studies that were completed as a part of the Tall Buildings Initiative project.
