PEER has just published Report No. 2011/04 titled “Recommended Design Practice for Pile Foundations in Laterally Spreading Ground” as a new addition to the PEER Report Series. It was authored by Scott A. Ashford of Oregon State University, Ross W. Boulanger of UC Davis, and Scott J. Brandenberg of UC Los Angeles. The research and report were sponsored PEER’s Lifelines Program, which is supported by the California Department of Transportation and the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
