FREE Registration to EERI Seminar about Soil Liquefaction Available from PEER
PEER is offering to sponsor the registration fee for one faculty or student applicant from PEER affiliated universities to attend the upcoming EERI Technical Seminar. The seminar entitled “Soil Liquefaction During Earthquakes” is a full day event that will discuss recent progress in the evaluation of liquefaction hazards during earthquakes and how to estimate the potential for triggering liquefaction, its consequences, and its mitigation. The seminar will be hosted at:

- – St. Louis-March 12, 2009 at the Engineer's Club, 4359 Lindell Blvd, St. Louis, MO, 63108

For those interested in attending this informative seminar, please send an email to Heidi Faison, the PEER Outreach Director, at hfaison@berkeley.edu with a brief paragraph that explains your interest in attending the event. Students must also include the name of one faculty sponsor. PEER will review all applications and one free registration to the event will be awarded. To be considered you must email by Tuesday March 3rd. Recipients will be notified of acceptance by Friday, March 6th.
