PEER hosts "roundtable discussion" with Leslie Robertson for students

Leslie robertsonLeslie Robertson, renowned structural engineer of many buildings worldwide including the World Trade Center, visited the UC Berkeley campus on May 1, 2008. His initial lecture about the relationship between architecture and structural engineering was sponsored by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Berkeley. After the lecture, students and faculty were invited to come to the PEER conference room for a roundtable discussion with Dr. Robertson. During this three-hour open forum discussion, Dr. Robertson shared his thoughts about the past and future of the engineering profession. He also gave guidance and advice to the collection of masters students who will be starting their future engineering careers after graduation in just a couple weeks. PEER would like to extend a special thank you to Leslie Robertson for generously sharing his time which was greatly appreciated by all attendees.
