The PEER Summer Internship program in 2010 is able to provide unique opportunities for ten outstanding undergraduate students to participate in state-of-the-art research. Internship participants have been paired with a faculty advisor and a graduate student mentor. During the program, students are learning how to conduct independent research and how to participate effectively as a member of a research team.
Funding for this year's internship program comes various programs including the National Science Foundation (NSF), the George E. Brown, Jr. Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES), Cal TEACH, UC LEADS, (TAP) Transfer Alliance Project/Jack Kent Cooke Summer Research Program, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Technologies et Industries du Bois, and PEER.
